The Bible | God’s personal book to us that fully reveals who He is and enables us to live out real relationship with Him. When we read the Bible, we get to know Him better and become more like Him. Thes book of John gives an up close and personal look at Jesus’ life. Have you ever wondered Who Jesus is? What did He say? How did He live and why? Read the story of Jesus’ life from the account of His friend, John, to encounter Him personally every day!
how to read the book of john:
STEP 1: Write out in a journal: Day _________ Date _________ Passage __________
STEP 2: Read your passage twice & underline any verses that stick out to you.
STEP 3: Make observations: Who is in this passage? What’s going on? Where does it take place?
STEP 4: Answer these two questions from what you just read:
1. Who is Jesus? Write down anything (attitudes/character traits/actions) you discover about who Jesus is.
2. What does Jesus want with me? Write down what you think He wants with your heart & life, & how you can follow Him more closely.
STEP 5: Application: What will you do differently in your life because of what this passage says? Write down one thing you want to do today or this week from what you learned in this passage.
PRAYER: Pray to close your time with God, asking for His help in applying what you just read & that He would use His Word to change your heart & life.
